The History of Dean Memorial Funeral Home

From the age of 15, Keith Dean knew that he wanted to be a funeral director and dreamed of someday owning his own funeral home. At the age of 19, he became one of the youngest licensed funeral directors and morticians in the state of Mississippi. After working for others for several years, the desire to have his own business continued to grow stronger. Keith prayed and asked God to grant his desire and God led him to Brandon, MS. Dean Memorial opened in the spring of 1992 in its original location at 99 Diamond Street. God blessed the prayer and anointed the dream. As a result, the people of Brandon and Rankin County embraced and supported his vision, and Keith quickly felt a connection, and great love and adoration for the Rankin County community.

In 2003, Dean Memorial built a new location and opened its own cemetery (Paradise Gardens) at the current location on Highway 468, and the facility now has its very own crematorium. Dean Memorial has served some of the most elite families in the state of Mississippi, and is equipped to serve those of presidential status; but more importantly, Keith and the staff of Dean Memorial take the most pride in being a pillar of hope for everyday people and are fully committed to providing the best service to the community of Rankin County.

At Dean Memorial, we believe in putting God first, treating people right, and giving people a little more than they pay for. We are Dean Memorial Funeral Home!
