Regular massages improve muscle tone and reduce tension compared to having no massages.

Our bodies quietly carry stress every day... especially across the shoulders, back, and hips. Many people notice how tight their muscles feel after long workdays or stressful weeks. Small habits can influence how the body looks and feels over time, including something as simple and calming as regular massage.

Visual comparisons of muscle tissue often show a clear difference between regularly massaged muscles and those without consistent care. With regular massage, muscles may appear smoother, more relaxed, and evenly toned. Without it, tissue can look tighter and more congested, especially around the shoulders and lower back where tension tends to build.

Massage does more than create a relaxing moment... it may support circulation, flexibility, and balanced muscle tone over time. When the body releases built up tension, movement can feel easier and posture may improve. It reminds us how small wellness habits can quietly shape how our bodies function and feel.

Healing update! I’m making good progress. My face is looking much better on the outside, though it’s still pretty numb as everything continues to heal. I’m waiting for an update from the ENT and hoping to be back at work next week. 🙏

I’ll be reaching out to those who need to reschedule appointments soon. Thank you all so much for the kind messages, support, and check-ins. It truly means a lot and I appreciate this community more than you know. 💛

We schedule meetings.
We schedule appointments.
We schedule commitments for everyone else.

But when was the last time you scheduled time for yourself?

Self-care doesn’t have to be big. Sometimes it’s just:
A. A massage
B. A walk outside
C.Stretching or movement
D.10 minutes of quiet time
E. Going to bed earlier

Taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury. It’s how you recharge so you can show up for everything and everyone else in your life.

💬 Drop the letter in the comments of the one you need most this week.

And if your body is saying “A”, you’re definitely not alone. 🙂

Heading in for a follow up and will keep you all who have appointments with me next week up-to-date as to our next steps.

Reach out if you have any questions.

Our Story

Located in the heart of Vermont's green mountains, the charming village of Brandon is unhurried, unspoiled and unforgettable. With an intimate, warm and walkable downtown, our community sits at the crossroads of Routes 73 and 7 and offers art galleries and studios, restaurants and shops, and access to the great Vermont outdoors. From Brandon's downtown, visitors may stroll up historic Park Street, past three grand victorian inns, and onto Marble Street, where Village Spa is located.

From just on the edge of the village, we invite you to experience our full range of massage and body treatments for men, women, couples and families. Our mission is to provide holistic services for the enhancement of health and well-being in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Our therapists are trained to assist you in developing a treatment plan designed to help you meet your wellness goals, whether addressing issues of stress, depression, pain and discomfort, or simply enjoying some "me time."

At Village Spa, we believe in treating the mind, body and spirit collectively to achieve your optimal health and vitality. We offer energy work through Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Our massage practices include sports massage for injury recovery and optimal performance, hot stone, therapeutic and reflexology for pain management, relaxation, circulation and energy renewal. For healthy, vibrant skin, we offer customized facials, body scrubs and wraps, and a full line of natural and cosmeceutical skin care products by Bioelements, "where science meets nature." We also want you to feel well-polished at all times and offer full body waxing and nail services with our licensed and experienced staff.
