Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Master degree in counseling, psychology, mental health or social work ; and 2 year of relevant experience working with adults experiencing mental illness.



Experience Requirements:

Preferred experience in working with adults diagnosed with co-occurring disorders.

MCAP is a plus.

· Requirements reflect the minimum level necessary to be eligible for this position. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Duties

· Conducts intakes and assessments; Completes treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge planning in a timely manner.

· Provides counseling to patients with depression, PTSD, addictions and/or anxiety.

· Promotes client engagement in their self-care, crisis management, and mental health.

· Available to conduct mental health and substance abuse groups.

· Networks with community organizations to get resources for clients.

· Helps clients define goals, plan action and gain insight.

· Reports to supervising clinician for ongoing case reviews and completion of all paperwork
