I am so honored! And will continue to supervise and train clinicians so that we can expand the access to this amazing treatment for our lovely clients for as long as I can

Join us this in shouting out Nancy S Gordon, LCSW, and one our earliest clinicians to earn DBT-LBC certification!

Nancy is the founder and president at Tampa Bay Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Inc., and a volunteer board member for the Florida Borderline Personality Disorder Association. Nancy has provided over 200 workshops/trainings/speaking engagements, many within DBT. She was the first DBT®-Linehan Board Certified Clinician in Florida.

Regarding the importance of certification, Nancy stated:

“Certification is important to me to protect clients and families by ensuring that they are getting full comprehensive DBT by someone who has demonstrated their competence with the rigorous DBT-LBC Certification process…DBT-LBC Certification also reinforces and validates the clinician for the hard work done to master this comprehensive treatment.”

Nancy attended an initial Intensive Training in DBT in 1998 and later started one of the first adolescent residential DBT programs in the country.

You may find Nancy spending time with her daughter, a fellow LCSW, trainer, and also a supervisor at PDBTI as they share successes and challenges in doing training and supervision.
Thank you for your dedication, Nancy!
