The New Moon is the perfect time to set your intentions for the coming Lunar Cycle. It's a time of new beginnings and potential. The air is ripe with possibilities and the energies all around are waiting for direction and purpose. Now is the time to sow the seeds of what you hope to achieve and direct the waiting energy towards your intention so that you can harvest the fruits of your labours during the Full Moon.

The New Moon and her energies make it significantly easier to begin a new project or routine. In this vein, the New Moon can also be your best friend when trying to release a bad habit. Basically, kicking a bad habit could be seen as a new project, so use the energies of this cycle to release all that no longer serves you and begin a routine that serves your greater good.

A super simple way to release negative energies or habits is to write each thing you would like to release onto a scrap of paper. Write as many things as you like on separate pieces of paper and then burn each scrap (safely!) under the New Moon. As you release the old, you make space for the new and you allow fresh, revitalised energy to infuse your projects and intentions.
