Dear ReleafMD Family,

As we move through the holiday season, I want to take a moment to acknowledge something many people are quietly experiencing: increased stress, emotional triggers, and mental overload.

The holidays can bring joy😀—but they can also stir up old emotions, family dynamics, financial pressure, grief, and expectations. If you’re feeling more anxious, emotional, or overwhelmed than usual, please know this is temporary and very human.

The key isn’t to avoid these feelings or distract ourselves endlessly—but to create simple practices that help break the stress loop before it buries itself deeper.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆

We’re exposed to a lot of emotional energy during the holidays—at work, shopping, gatherings, and even online. Taking time to reset before and after the day can make a powerful difference.

Personally, I recommend short, intentional meditation practices:

Using meditation both before and after emotionally charged days helps prevent stress and emotions from being pushed down and masked by busyness—whether that’s work, holiday shopping, parties, exercise, or constant distraction.

𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

Think of this as mental hygiene.

Just like brushing your teeth or taking a shower, caring for your mind works best when done consistently—especially during demanding seasons.

My advice this time of year:

Find something that resonates with you

Use it to rest your mind, not overwork it

Look for the good where you can, without forcing positivity

Allow yourself space to feel—and then reset

Small, daily practices done with intention can create stability during emotionally intense times.
