You may have noticed my posting online has declined. Many reasons, but a big one is my desire to be less distracted by my screen and more distracted in nature.
When I go over a hormone test with my patients, majority of people are very very low on dopamine. This hormone creates joy and contentment. Social media drains dopamine because everything is instant gratification.
I recommend doing things that bring you enjoyment but are difficult or take time to accomplish. Things like walking, running, puzzles, reading books, just anything that slows you down.
