This morning, as I mapped out the week ahead, I found myself reflecting on the incredible women God has brought into my life. I am in awe of how He orchestrates these connections, weaving us together for something beautiful and purposeful. Recently, I was invited to be part of a women’s retreat, and I am filled with so much gratitude for the opportunity to serve, to witness healing, and to simply be present in people’s lives.
Paddleboarding has always been so much more to me than a sport. On the water, there’s a stillness, a sacred pause. It’s a chance to slow down, to breathe, to be fully present, and to connect with the beauty of God’s creation. Each moment on the board is a reminder of His grace, a chance to experience healing and restoration through nature, through movement, through presence.
Sharing this experience with others is deeply personal and profoundly rewarding. Teaching someone to paddle, guiding them on the water, or simply witnessing their awe as they embrace the stillness, it touches me in ways that words can hardly describe. It’s not just about skill or recreation; it’s about light, connection, and the sacredness of being fully alive in the moment.
Next week, I get to meet a group of women I’ve never met before, each on their own healing journey. I am humbled and honored to be a part of their story, to walk alongside them, even if just for a short time and share the beauty, peace, and light that paddleboarding brings. This is my passion, my joy, and my calling: to create space for connection, reflection, and renewal on the water.
To anyone considering stepping onto a paddleboard: it’s more than just a sport. It’s a sanctuary, a place to reconnect with yourself, with God, and with the world around you. It’s a gentle reminder that life’s most beautiful moments often happen when we pause, breathe, and embrace the present.
