2026 has already been busy and eye opening for me health wise. So much to process…
🌳 Tested positive to almost EVERY environmental allergy. I never knew I had any of these. This explains why I can never breathe out of my nose and my nose runs outside a lot. I have cats in my house and I also have chickens. They aren’t leaving. I’m getting weekly allergy shots in the city. This will last for years. Ugh.
🥜 Tested mildly positive for a food allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish and casein. But he said “keep eating them if they don’t bother you.” Well I think some of them do which explains a lot.
🥚 tested negative for an egg allergy but they do make me sick so it’s just a sensitivity (or alpha gal related)
🫁 Tested positive for mild ASTHMA (bc of all the allergies) I have trouble breathing/getting air in certain situations so this explains that. Mystery solved.
💉 had to get a biopsy on a thyroid nodule. It turned out fine but that wasn’t totally fun. Ha.
🔥 PS. almost burned the house down taking care of an injured rooster in my garage. Straw+heat lamp. Garage was full of smoke which got into the house. New air purifier did not like that. Just what my lungs needed.
🥩 on top of all that, still living with alpha gal and mystery reactions and living on chicken and tuna. Dr said maybe I could qualify for the shots. Idk If they help??

It’s only February. Ha. I just needed to vent bc it’s a lot.

I’m all for wins and staying positive but the truth is, sometimes this allergy is hard or mysterious. That’s not weakness. There are bad days or bad reactions. It happens.

My weekly win is my favorite homemade pancakes and then you have last night where I had a mystery reaction.

My worst fear. lol. A nightmare for anyone with food allergies or ibs. (Or panic disorder. I have all 3. Fun.) Throwback to when we went on a tour of a cave at Silver Dollar City.

Bar soap contains tallow or beef tallow, fat from cows. I was completely unaware of this until I had alpha gal. I use Native body wash now. Got a fave body wash ?

Was this a popular thing? My grandma was old school and strict. Haha.

Went to an allergist today to address my egg allergy mystery & bc alpha gal of course. He was great. He’s going to also address the issue I have of not being able to breathe out of my nose. No dr has ever figured that one out.

He was MUCH better than the last allergist who told me dairy is fine and it’s ok to use animal products on my skin. Huh???

Have you had positive or negative experience with an allergist ??

Eating out with Alpha-gal meant Panda Express for my son & Raising Cane’s for me. (Everything at Panda is friend in the same fry oil as the beef.) My MIL once proclaimed, we can’t take food from one place into another restaurant! Really? I do it alllll the time 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

How do you handle eating out? Fave restaurants??
