A prosthetic foam cover is the lightweight outer layer that goes over a prosthetic limb. While the internal components provide the function and structure, the foam cover is carefully shaped to create a natural contour, restore symmetry, protect the components inside, and help clothing fit more naturally!

After months of healing and determination, Robin, a bilateral transtibial amputee, took her first steps in a long time with her new prostheses. We could not be more proud of her strength and perseverance.

This is the update we have been so excited to share! 💙
A few months ago, Robin received her left transtibial prosthesis. After months of healing, she was finally able to receive her right transtibial prosthesis and take her first steps! Robin shared with us that she doesn’t remember the last time she was able to walk, so this was a huge deal. 🦿
Swipe to see behind the scenes moments from her direct socket journey. We met Robin at her rehab, formed the socket directly over her residual limb, returned to our office to carefully fine tune every detail, and just a few hours later brought it back for her to wear. ⭐️
What shines brightest about Robin is her joy. From greeting everyone she meets to sharing how excited she is to get home and spend time with her grandkids, her positivity fills every room. 💙
It was an absolute joy working with you, Robin. We cannot wait to celebrate all the steps and milestones ahead! 🎉

We are working on rescheduling and will share the new date as soon as it’s confirmed.

SB 101, passed during the 2025 session, established an important baseline for orthotic and prosthetic care by requiring health insurance coverage for medically necessary devices in GA’s regulated commercial plans. This legislation ensures coverage that supports activities of daily living, personal hygiene, employment-related function, and physical activity. 🦿
HB 951 builds on this progress by extending those same protections to individuals who serve our state. 🦾
Access to mobility should never be out of reach. 💙
