💩
It happens, right? But how often does it happen for you? Our bowels serve as one of the body’s elimination pathways. We need to be having DAILY (at least one) bowel movements. If anyone tells you it’s normal to only poop one or twice a week, run! It might be common, but I assure you there’s nothing normal about it. It’s a sign your digestive system needs support.
Even if you are going daily, your bowel patterns may give additional insight into your digestive health. If the speed of your digestion is too slow, it may means toxins can get reabsorbed into the body instead of being eliminated properly. If your digestion is too fast, food is likely moving through your body too fast for nutrients to be absorbed. Take a look at this Bristol Stool Chart and make a mental note of what your typical pattern is.
Some things that can affect bowel patterns include nutrition, hydration, stress, and medication.

Great information here…

Sleeping on your left side has been shown to be incredibly beneficial for the body with, in my opinion, the most incredible benefit being the facilitating of lymphatic drainage.

The lymphatic system has a dominant flow toward the left side of the body, where the majority of the lymphatic fluid drains into the thoracic duct, the thoracic duct then drains into the left side of the heart, left internal jugular vein the left subclavian vein.

Sleeping on your left side allows gravity to assist in the drainage of lymphatic fluid making the process more efficient. By better facilitating lymphatic drainage, sleeping on your left side improves the function of the lymph nodes, which act as filters in the lymphatic system, trapping and destroying foreign substances like bacteria and cancer cells.

The lymph nodes also play a crucial role in the body by housing and activating lymphocytes, which are white blood cells that fight infection and disease.

Research also shows that sleeping on the left side enhances the glymphatic system, which helps clear waste from the brain, reducing the risk of neurodegenerative disease.

Sleeping on your left side improves blood circulation by preventing pressure on the vena cava, the body’s largest vein. This position allows for better blood flow to the heart and organs, especially the liver and kidneys and is also extremely beneficial during pregnancy.

Also, sleeping on your left side improves liver function by keeping pressure off the liver, improving blood flow and aiding the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Do you ever find yourself thinking any of the following?

I have the worst luck.
The ______is going around and I know I’ll catch it again.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
No one loves or understands me.
I am always so tired.
I never get to do what I want.
I never have enough money.
What else can go wrong?
I am so fat.
I am so ugly.
I’m not as good as _____ is.

Is there anything you would add to the list?

Here’s the thing. We’re human. We’re going to have bad days and negative thoughts. But we CANNOT live there and dwell on it! These limiting and/or negative beliefs have more of an impact on our health than you might think. As we talked about a few weeks ago, negative emotions have lower frequencies. Lower frequencies are associated with comprised health and wellness, even sickness and disease.
Our words matter so speak life every chance you get! And if you need a little push, call me! Just like my plant at my office says, I am rooting for you!

Let’s take a closer look at the services included in a consultation…And why.
* Basic iridology - Study of the Iris, which contains approximately 28,000 nerve endings from all over the body. This can give insight into potential strengths and weaknesses in the body.
* Physical Observations - Just as with the eye, certain lines and markings and discolorations on the face, tongue and fingernails can provide a glimpse of what might be going on inside.
* Muscle Response Testing - Applying tactile stimuli to specific points on the body and observing the muscular response. This can help identify organs or systems that may need support.
* pH testing of urine and saliva - Checking for acidity or alkalinity. Can provide much information of what’s going on in the body. Slow digestion vs fast. Liver health. Inflammation. Fatigue. Minerals. Stress.
* Lifestyle factors aka The Foundations. Education on simple yet effective changes that can be incorporated to support optimal health.
* Emotional Release Techniques - Various avenues of not only managing stress and dealing with current emotions BUT ALSO addressing any repressed emotions or trauma from the past.
Bach Flower consultation is included in every health consultation. Customized Bach Flower remedies is one method of correcting emotional imbalances.

Some of the best (and simplest) things you can do to support your health:

Prioritize sleep. This is when your body detoxifies, recovers and repairs.
Spend time outside.
Manage stress.
Stay hydrated
Eliminate or limit processed foods and added sugar.
Eat sufficient amounts of protein.
Include healthy fats.
Be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. If you wouldn’t say it to someone else, don’t say it to yourself.

There are many more, but this is just an example of how supporting your health doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.

You might be surprised at the benefits of just one of these. Pick one, try it for a while , and see what might happen!

We tend to be skeptical of what we aren’t familiar with, don’t we? Or maybe another way to put it is we’re just comfortable with what we know, and not so comfortable with what we don’t. I find sometimes this is the case with holistic health.
Despite being around for thousands of years, some people view it as “new age” and assume it goes against the Bible. Granted, there may be some practices that aren’t God honoring, but take a good long look at just about anything (including traditional medicine), and tell me that isn’t the case at times. You see, I believe it’s all about intention. And remembering the fact that no matter what health practices or modalities you choose, ultimate healing comes from God.

Prescription medication, for example, can have health benefits. But what happens when it’s abused? See….Intent.

Let’s look at something else that many people might think is “wooey”.
Frequency. We are electrical beings. When someone’s heart stops beating, oftentimes, medical professionals will grab the paddles and try to restore the heartbeat , the electrical rhythm.
And what about MRIs? What does the letter M stand for??? Magnetic!
Used in the medical field, these things are very common, within nothing thought about it, and rightfully so because at times they are necessary. But using these same concepts in natural health is bad?
We might do well to reconsider, especially when we keep in mind that all healing and help comes from God, and that’s no matter what health and wellness modalities we use.
