And THIS is happening too!🙏🤍

On Oct. 26 -20 Buddhist monks and their fur baby -Aloka- a stray who insisted on joining them -started their Walk For Peace from Texas to Washington DC.

One monk was involved in a car incident and lost his leg due to severe injuries. Aloka suffered a leg injury along the journey as well.

Walking slowly, mindfully and peacefully in the cold, in the heat, in the rain and with exhaustion . 

Demonstrating that there is great power in quiet action.

That compassion, discipline, humility, and presence can still move hearts.
You do not need power to create peace.

Peace in the world begins with peace within.

YOGA is cancelled this Sunday so everyone can stay safe, cozy, and unhurried at home. ❄️

Winter has a way of asking something different of us. Less pushing. More listening. More tending to the quiet needs that often get brushed aside when life is moving fast.

Self-care in the wintering months doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can look like:

•sleeping a little longer
•warm food and warm drinks
•slower mornings
•doing less
•listening to your body
•resting without earning it

Nature is doing her thing right now — softening, slowing, turning inward. We’re allowed to follow her lead.

I hope you use this snowy pause to take gentle care of yourself, however that feels true for you.

I look forward to moving, breathing, and gathering again soon.

Stay warm, stay safe, and be sweet with yourselves 🤍
