The AIDS Project of Southern Vermont (APSVT) is seeking a Harm Reduction Outreach Specialist to join our team in Windham County. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about harm reduction, overdose prevention, and meeting people where they are through hands-on, community-based outreach.
💙 Make a real difference by:
Reducing overdose risk and the spread of HIV & Hepatitis C
Providing direct outreach, education, and life-saving supplies
Building trusting, non-judgmental relationships with people who use drugs
Strengthening connections to care, resources, and community
Helping reduce stigma around substance use and HIV in rural Vermont
✨ You may be a great fit if you:
Value connection, collaboration, and shared accountability
Are passionate about direct services, prevention, and harm reduction
Are comfortable working with diverse communities
Are looking for more than just a job—this is meaningful, values-driven work
🕒 Position Details:
20 hours/week (one-year, grant-funded)
$20–$22/hour, based on experience
Flexible schedule, paid time off & sick time
Based out of Brattleboro, serving Windham County
Mileage reimbursed for work-related travel
