One of the biggest misconceptions I see online is that once you decide you want to get pregnant… fat loss should immediately stop being a goal.
But the truth is — metabolic health before pregnancy matters more than most women realize.
As a labor & postpartum nurse, I’ve seen the difference it can make.
Improving body composition before pregnancy can help support:
• insulin sensitivity
• hormone signaling
• ovulation regularity
• healthy pregnancy weight gain
• postpartum recovery
But this isn’t about crash dieting or trying to become the smallest version of yourself before conceiving.
It’s about creating a metabolically healthy environment your body can build a pregnancy from.
In this episode I’m walking through 4 fat loss strategies I often recommend to women who are preparing their bodies for pregnancy.
Because the goal isn’t restriction.
The goal is metabolic readiness.
Stronger body.
Stable blood sugar.
Better hormonal signaling.
The things that actually support fertility.
If you’re someone who wants to intentionally prepare your body before pregnancy, I’ll be sharing more inside this series.
