#𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 It’s interesting— and sometimes frustrating — how many people 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘦 that owning a business means you’re automatically rich or that it’s somehow “easy” or the classic “it must be nice.” Don’t even get me started. But the truth is, being a business owner can & absolutely is 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨. You’re not only doing all you can to do your job with excellence, but also carrying the weight of 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥-𝘵𝘩𝘦-𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴 things it takes just to keep the doors open.

If you’re not a business owner, or if you work for one, maybe take a step back and realize just how much it takes to keep things going — and instead of only asking for more, consider what you can do, even if as simple as offering a prayer or a word of encouragement or grace.
