Today I had the opportunity to take a Medicinal mushroom class at The Embassy of Life Mastery with a true Gem of a Lady named Amy Korth who owns God's Green Earth
I’m telling you she is the real deal and her energy is amazing! Like this was probably one of the funnest and most interesting classes I have ever taken!
We worked with seven powerhouse fungi – Reishi, Chaga, Lion’s Mane, Turkey Tail, Cordyceps, Maitake, and Shiitake and learned how to create potent dual-extracted tinctures and a hot-water-extracted powder.
We also learned how to infuse extracts into oils and make a batch of nourishing mushroom lotion😳
Then we used the powders to make delicious functional chocolate bars!

The Naturopathic Institute of Therapies & Education hired me to teach an all day mushroom extraction class for their FOOD REVOLUTION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. I'll attach the link and the description. It's coming up very soon, Feb 21, and is open to anyone. It'll be a fun day. It's at a church outside of Mt. Pleasant with a big commercial kitchen. We have 8 hours to play with mushrooms so we'll dive pretty deep into extraction technique. I'll have both ultrasonic machines with me and we can do a dual alcohol/water extract to take home and also an oil infusion to make a mushroom lotion out of in the afternoon. https://naturopathicinstitute.org/emphasis-certification-program/

This is Lisa Messer. She came to my shop yesterday and enjoyed a cup of mushroom/herb broth with me. She decided she liked it so much that she talked me into making a batch to sell. This broth is a low temperature/long cook time to soften the chitin fibers in the mushrooms and unlock the beta glucans and miconutrients, and to preserve the more delicate componants in the herbs. This batch had lions mane, nettle, garlic, ginger, rosemary, sage, onion, miso & himalayan salt. Sipping on this broth could result in focus, clarity, better mood, better memory, nerve damage repair, gut health and more. I am going to make a large batch and freeze it. One quart will be $25.
