Have you ever found yourself over training and missing sessions because you’re too sore, too tired, or actually have an injury? I am starting slowly and building so that I can actually race my first 50 mile trail race whereas I usually just run my trail races for fun and enjoyment.

I am actually listening to my own HYLA Advice which is tougher than you’d think! Utilizing SWAP Plans so I peak in 17 weeks!!

Pain = Communication

A pain point is the same in business, life, or medicine. It is a notification that something is not working to the best of its ability.

My personal pain point is communicating what HYLA Wellness is...because it can be almost anything under my umbrella of 30 years of experience.

This morning I had a client tell me that they were hesitant to schedule because it looked on my website and social media that I am geared towards athletes and not "regular" people like him. The truth is, I want to help "regular" people by supporting them to move and treat their bodies better so that they can BECOME more athletic!

Pain in the body (muscle or joint) is communication that there is a kinematic disruption that needs to be addressed by movement...this is the part that I am good at!

I am currently focused on connecting with other professionals to learn how to communicate and getting support form them.

I need SUPPORT for my pain points in the same manner that I SUPPORT my clients through theirs!!

Just starting, no matter how small that first step is, is forward movement.

I like to think of it this way:
Finding the lowest hanging fruit is what gets you out a step stool. Once that feels normal, you pull out the ladder as your goals get higher. You do not start on the top rung. You start where you are.

Basement workout utilizing BFR (blood flow restriction) training with to maximize gains and minimize recovery!! Returning to miles this week after 3 weeks of reduced load. At 51 I have to be smarter and listen to my legs!!

Miles were up, speed was up, strength was increasing, but my lower legs were sore for a few weeks in a row and they needed a reset…so we went to the basement and decreased our miles!!
