No, we aren't selling calendars with shots like this.

Instead, we're showing a glimpse of some of the advanced life-saving equipment we carry to offer our patients the best care possible. Advanced equipment coupled with skilled providers creates the best outcomes, and that's what we're here for.

We look forward to giving readers in the area more of our story in next month's issue of Neighbors of Clinton County - Best Version Media. Check it out!

This week, Breese EMS marks National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by extending our gratitude to the dedicated telecommunications team with Clinton County IL 911. These dedicated professionals are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We honor the service, sacrifice, and emotional endurance of our telecommunicators who provide critical support to not only Breese EMS, but every ambulance service and law enforcement officer across the county-- and beyond.

Thank you to all the telecommunication staff for the critical role and public service you deliver. You are truly the calm voice in every emergency call you answer. You are not only appreciated this week, but every day of the year.

For 45 years, Janice Gebke has served the City of Breese as an EMT and she's still going! Here, she's holding the first group picture of dedicated volunteers that was taken in 1981, a few months after the service officially began. Gebke was in the first class of EMTs to get the City of Breese Ambulance Service staffed when it started on January 1, 1981. See the comments for a closer look at this picture, with Janice standing in the front row and third from the left with her father, Al Gebke, seated in the middle. Mr. Al Gebke was the Chief of Police and first director of the ambulance service.

More on the history of Breese EMS and our current crews can be found in next month's issue of Neighbors of Clinton County - Best Version Media!
