One of my favorite things about teaching classes is witnessing the transformation from maiden to mother. These women walked into our reunion as amazing, confident mothers. They told their stories, shared their struggles, laughed, and held each other in it all. Iā€™m so proud of each of them. And the guys by their sides are the best (and well rested apparently šŸ˜œ) Iā€™m so glad I got to be part of their birth stories. Thereā€™s so much magic to experience. āœØ

Iā€™ve been teaching for 14 years. Iā€™ve taught hundreds of couples. Iā€™ve had so many fun classes and great couples over the years. One thing Iā€™ve noticed is that each class can loosely be put in some kind of box - the fun classes, the quiet classes, the rowdy classes, my favorite classes (you know who you are!), the small classes, the big classes - you get the idea. I spent the first several weeks with of this class trying to put them in one of my neat tidy boxes that have emerged over the years and one day I finally realized that they created a whole new fun box all their own. They created so much fun, asked so many questions no one has ever asked, challenged me, made me laugh, and brought me so much joy. The laughter, tears, vulnerability, compassion, rear naked chokes, one liners, hard questions, and stickers were my favorite thing ever.

Thank you, new friends, for hanging out with me and allowing me to be a small part of your birth story. Cheers! šŸ„‚
