👉🏻 Botox works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause expression lines. It does this by blocking the nerve signal (acetylcholine) that tells the muscle to contract. When the muscle doesn’t contract as strongly, the skin above it looks smoother.

hydration+smoothing ✨

While this patient already had naturally beautiful lips, this lip type can be a bit more challenging. There’s more loose tissue and space to fill, which could lead to lumps and bumps with the wrong product. 🙅🏻‍♀️

For her first lip filler treatment, Anna started with a soft, hydrating product that integrates seamlessly. Once everything settles, we can always build on that with a more structured filler if she’d like a touch more volume 💋

Anna and her patient also discussed lip framing to add subtle support and balance her lips with the rest of her features, something they’ll plan for next session. 😍

As we age, our lips lose some of their natural volume, and thoughtful filler placement can restore that youthful softness while keeping results beautifully natural and undetectable. 👏🏼
