☀️ Stay Safe in the Heat — A Message from Guided Angels CPR Training 🚑
Extreme heat isn’t just uncomfortable — it can be dangerous. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), high temperatures can increase the risk of heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and even cardiac emergencies, especially in vulnerable populations like older adults, children, and those with heart conditions.
🔥 Heat Safety Tips from the AHA:
Stay Hydrated – Drink water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
Avoid Peak Heat Hours – Stay indoors between 10 AM and 4 PM when the sun is strongest.
Dress Smart – Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
Never Leave Kids or Pets in Cars – Not even for a minute. Temperatures rise dangerously fast.
Know the Signs – Confusion, dizziness, nausea, and a rapid pulse can signal heat-related illness or cardiac distress.
🏥 At Guided Angels CPR Training, we teach you how to respond confidently in emergencies, including heat-related and cardiac events.
