Proprioceptive input provides the brain with essential feedback about movement and body position, helping the body understand where it is in space and how it is moving. In Neurologic Music Therapy®, music is used to help organize and structure that sensory information in a way that supports regulation and functional skill development. These interventions are sometimes paired with playful experiences like tickles to increase engagement, body awareness, and regulation. 🎶🧠

These moments also create meaningful opportunities to practice communicating needs, preferences, and boundaries within a safe and supportive environment.

They remind us daily that music is a universal language, and it is a privilege to watch them share their joy with our community.

Join the celebration and wear your most vibrant, mismatched socks today, share a photo with us and tag Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee ! We can’t wait to see the creative patterns and colors that make our community so wonderfully unique. 💛💙

There's no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow quite as precious as this group! 🌈🍯 Happy almost St. Patrick’s Day from the Musical Bridges family! ☘️

Today, we brought the luck of the Irish to our session with a lively rendition of "The Rattlin' Bog!" with our friends at . The best part? Every single musician brought their own unique magic to the circle by playing a different instrument. 🥁 From the egg shakers to the drums, we made sure the bog down in the valley-o was rattling all day long!

Celebrating inclusion, community, and the absolute luck of getting to make music together! 💚
