Katie Schofield, Director of Clinical Services for our Galesburg, IL, program, and Katie England, Area Market Executive for our Northwest Illinois programs, were honored to be interviewed by a local radio station to discuss the reality of hospice care.

During the interview, they had the opportunity to help debunk common myths surrounding hospice and share how hospice truly supports patients and families with compassion, dignity and expert care. Conversations like these are so important in helping our communities better understand the resources available to them during some of life’s most difficult moments.

In 2025:
- Nearly $2M in hospice care services were provided to financially distressed patients.
- Over $165,000 in tuition reimbursement supported continued learning for health care professionals.
- $80,000 in emergency assistance helped teammates navigating unexpected hardships through Compassus' employee relief fund in partnership with Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

The Nashville, Tennessee-based company was founded in 2006, but its roots in hospice reach back to 1979.
