Dr. Brian Hooper

Dr. Brian Hooper State Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist (Lic. #54) and Certified Hypnotherapist. These common themes can be helpful guides on our life journey.

I am passionate about using my skills to help you to:

Resolve Conflicts
Develop Spiritually and Psychologically
Overcome Emotional Injuries
Experience a Deep Connection to Self, the Divine, and Creation
Live a Full and Joyful Life
Today, in a world of ever-faster change, both welcome and unwelcome, we are prone to experience so much dis-integration within ourselves and between one another. Integrative Pastoral Counseling draws upon the wells of spiritual and clinical counseling insights to help individuals re-integrate the experiences of their lives in such a way that even old wounds can be utilized to promote reconciliation, healing, and growth in wholeness. Spirituality is about the ultimate sense of who we are at our core and how we experience and express this to others. Holding this perspective enables me to work respectfully with clients regardless of their particular religious beliefs. I offer my services to all in support of their total wellbeing and the advancement of humanity. As a Lutheran clergyman (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), my own underlying belief is that the message of Jesus is about God entering into the most terrible of human experiences in order to meet humanity there with gracious love, acceptance, forgiveness, and hope. The very places of personal loss or relational death are then transformed through God’s presence and abundant grace into new life. Clients who share my Christian faith often enjoy further exploration of the Christian tradition on this topic. I also work effectively with my clients who embrace different spiritual or religious traditions and the belief systems that support them. Within the major faith traditions we see similar epic stories that have common themes. I look forward to journeying with you on your own path of personal discovery, integration, and growth in wholeness!

A diagnosis can name the pattern — but it can’t tell the whole story.
The real story lives beneath the label.

What we feed our bodies matters —
but what we feed our imaginations matters too.

Your gut creates the chemicals that keep you balanced —
but your mind also needs nourishment.

Pause and ask:
How am I caring for my body?
And how am I feeding my imagination?

Healing is body and soul in dialogue.

Sobriety isn’t just about abstaining.
It’s about healing the deeper wound — the belief that you’re not enough for yourself.
Lasting recovery begins at the soul level… where real relationship with self begins.

Take good care of yourself, body and soul.

When the mind won’t rest, remind it: you’re safe now. You can breathe. You can rest.

We often seek attention from others, yet rarely pause to give it to ourselves.
✨ Be curious about your own thoughts, emotions, and patterns — they’re trying to tell you something.
💭 Growth begins with gentle curiosity.

Sometimes the person who triggers us isn’t the one who taught us that pain.
When you feel that familiar sting, take a breath and ask yourself:
“Whose voice am I really hearing?”

It might not be the person in front of you — it might be an echo from years ago.
Recognizing that difference is where healing begins. 🌿

Save this as a reminder the next time you feel your buttons being pushed.

Healing isn’t always visible.
It doesn’t always look like breakthroughs or big moments.
Sometimes it looks like rest, stillness, or simply showing up for yourself. 🌿

Progress isn’t measured by movement —
it’s measured by your willingness to stay present,
even when things feel quiet.

Growth is happening, even when it’s unseen. 💫

Save this reminder for the days when growth feels slow.

Professional success doesn’t always translate into peace.

This work is about more than symptom relief — it’s about integration.

When you’re ready to recalibrate identity, meaning, and performance from a place of awareness rather than pressure, therapy becomes less about fixing and more about aligning. 🌿

Life isn’t just about getting from Point A to Point B.
The sacred work happens along the way.
Keep your eyes open for the unbidden gifts that appear when you stay in the process—not just the outcome. 🌿
