Did you know your balance depends on five different systems working together?

Your inner ear helps detect motion, your eyes keep you oriented in space, and your skin, muscles, and joints send signals about pressure and movement. All of that information is processed by your brain and spinal cord to keep you steady and upright.

When even one part of this system is disrupted, it can lead to dizziness, imbalance, or disorientation. That’s why vestibular disorders can feel so overwhelming—they impact the entire balance network.

Try this mini movement experiment to reduce tension in your pelvic floor.

The pelvic floor works in coordination with the abdominal, the breathing muscles, the muscles of the deep back, and the hip muscles.

In this week’s Awareness Through Movement® class we got curious about… our toes! 🦶✨

By exploring how to differentiate and move each toe, we discovered new sensations in the feet, improved balance, and surprising flexibility. When the toes learn to move more clearly, the whole body finds more stability and ease.

Small movements, big changes.

Want to experience it for yourself? Join us next week, Wednesday at 10am at the Etowah Lions Club.

• trouble sleeping because your body just won’t settle

Functional Integration helps you unlearn painful patterns and discover new, easier ways of moving. Many people leave a session feeling lighter, freer, and more at home in their body.
