Bethany, our Transportation Manager, is proudly showing off one of our core values—Kindness.

Her shirt says it perfectly: “Kindness is free. Sprinkle it everywhere.” Bethany brings that spirit to our community every day, helping residents get where they need to go with a smile and a caring heart. We are grateful for team members like Bethany who truly live our values.

In honor of National Employee Appreciation Day, we celebrated our incredible team with a full Week of Wellness dedicated to our staff.

Each themed day brought thoughtful surprises to all three shifts, from coffee and protein bars to self-care items, along with a refreshing yogurt and salad bar. It was a small way to recognize the dedication, compassion, and hard work our team shows every single day. Whether providing care, support, or a friendly smile, our staff make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and in our community.

We are truly grateful for everything they do and proud to celebrate the people who make Brewer Center such a special place. 💙

Kindness is at the heart of everything we do.

This week, our community launched a Kindness Jar to celebrate one of our core values: caring in action. Residents and team members are invited to write down moments of kindness they see throughout the day—big or small—and add them to the jar as a reminder of the positivity that surrounds us.

With each note, the jar grows into a collection of thoughtful gestures, helping shine a light on the compassion that makes our community so special.

This month, we proudly recognize and celebrate the incredible social workers who play such a vital role at National’s facilities every day. Social workers are at the heart of resident-centered care — providing emotional support, advocating for resident needs, guiding care planning, and helping residents and families navigate important transitions.

Their work brings comfort during times of adjustment, clarity during complex decisions, and reassurance when it’s needed most. Through compassion, empathy, and dedication, they help foster trust, connection, and overall well-being for those we serve.

We are truly grateful for the difference our social workers make in the lives of our residents and their loved ones.

Kindness is at the heart of everything we do. Sheila Johnson, Director of Nursing at Bethel Health Care Center, shares how small, thoughtful moments—like remembering a resident’s favorite blanket or how they take their coffee—make a big difference.

By bringing smiles to those around them, our team embodies kindness every day, helping our centers truly feel like home.

Winter can affect more than just the weather. Shorter days and reduced sunlight can impact mood and energy, particularly for individuals experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

At our centers, we take a comprehensive approach to resident well-being. By fostering social connection, promoting physical activity, providing balanced nutrition, and creating bright, supportive environments, we help residents maintain wellness for both mind and body.
