We are so excited to announce that we will be participating in Wool Works 206! is a new event celebrating the wonder of wool and the community it holds 🐑✨

🌱When: July 18th 2026

🌱Where: North Adams, MA

The mission of Wool Works is to educate and inspire the public about the science of wool, sustainable agriculture, and the artistry that connects field, fiber, and finished goods.

Join us in celebrating local agriculture, craftsmanship, and community! This event honors small farms, breeders, and creative makers who bring the world of wool — and wool-adjacent products — to life.

Join us for an evening of making things together.
A craft sangha is a group of people who come together to make things and practice mindfulness.

Together, we reweave connection to ourselves, each other, and the earth through our hands.

Bring any craft project that is small enough to fit in your lap or a small table. 🪡🧶🧵

All are welcome regardless of experience or root tradition.

Time: 6:30-8:00pm

Location: The Barn at First Parish Brewster UU (across the street from the church at 1969 Main St)

Directions & Parking:

We meet on the 3rd floor of “The Barn” of First Parish Church. This building is located across the street from the church. There is an upper parking lot on Harwich Rd, and a lower lot off of 6A. Please park in the lower lot. You will see a sign for First Parish parking (on your right when heading to Orleans). After you turn, take your first right and park in the small lot behind the barn. Enter through the door and go up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

❗️Please note: This building is NOT handicap accessible. There are 2 short flights of stairs.
This is a free event, but we’d love you to register so we can send you a reminder and let you know about any schedule updates.

Scenes from last weekend’s quahog weaving workshop 💜

Making craft in community is a magical experience that opens different forms of connection. It’s a space where we can let go of words and explore relationship through our fingertips.

In this workshop, we met the quahog and learned about its extraordinary nature as one of the oldest beings on the planet (they can live hundreds of years!). We introduced ourselves through all of our senses, uncovering new ways of understanding creativity, form, and ecology through touch, sight, sound, and smell. We even had a chance to taste the quahog in its stuffed clam form!

We know many more of you wanted to join this workshop but couldn’t due to limited capacity. Pls join our mailing list and be sure to follow us here as we think about offering this again in the spring.

Gratitude to for the use of their studio space, and to for their support.

Dear Knitter,

We are so glad that you enjoy our wool. In the winter, it allows us to roam freely and comfortably in snowy fields. In the spring, it is removed so that we can be at ease during the summer months.

Our fleece carries within it the echo of our lives on the land. Bits of grass. The tips of our locks sometimes bleached by the sun on our backs. The smell of the earth embedded in our fiber.

Though we are happy in our flock, our lives depend on you and your care of us as the seasons turn. We hope that as you spin, knit, or weave, the yarn that runs through your fingers reminds you of us. Of our living-being-ness. Of the interdependent relationship we share.

With love,

The sheep in your yarn 🐑

Registration for our Spring 2026 Craft Retreat is OPEN!

Join us as we spend 4 days at historic Knoll Farm in Waitsfield, VT () creating space, time, and opportunity for your creative practice to unfold.

Not only is this a gorgeous location, it is also the home to a special flock of Icelandic sheep who are the subject of ‘s beautiful book The Salt Stones. The way that Helen describes her deep connection to land, beings, and life through the care of her flock is profoundly resonant with our mission to reconnect to ourselves, each other, and the earth through craft.

We’re excited to partner again with Nicole Cormier, RD, LDN () who will help us expand our understanding of creativity to include the practices needed for nourishment and healing.

The space between Christmas and the New Year can feel tender.

A little quieter.
A little more honest.

If you’re noticing a longing for slowness, presence, and making with your hands, we want to gently share this:

This February, we’re traveling to Oaxaca for a mindful craft journey rooted in connection — to place, to material, to one another.

Our days will be shaped by:

🧶 learning from local weaving & pottery traditions
🙏 mindful presence practices inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh
🌿 time in nature at Casa Lyobaa in the Oaxaca Valley
🔥 a temazcal ceremony
🤍 spaciousness — for rest, reflection, and joy

This isn’t fast travel.

It’s not about checking boxes.
It’s about being with what’s here — together.

At this moment, 2 seats remain.

If this timing feels meaningful, you’re warmly invited to learn more via the link in our bio.
And if you’re holding questions, we’re happy to talk.

“It is deeply satisfying to bring these slow ones to life. To see them transform from their flat fabric origins to fully formed individuals is quite a thing. To engage my hands in each and every step, a feeling I can’t describe. So rare is it in my day-to-day life not to have my thoughts and actions mediated by some device, but right there between forefinger and thumb.”

Sharing reflections on the meaning, process, and joy of making hand-made gifts this season. This was the year of the snails. Each one, an embodied reminder to slow down, if even just a bit.

Mindful knitting is a practice that realigns heart, body, and mind with the material world.

Sitting quietly on a December afternoon with a cup of tea and a half-done sweater is an accessible way to reattune with this season’s natural slower pace. Knitting allows us to blend being with doing, and to find comfort in a season that can bring stress for many.

May you enjoy your creative practice this season.
