MaryBlair Wilson from AMIB’s Lanoka Harbor home recently enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter and sweet treats. Earlier in the day, she proudly ordered her own meal at McDonald’s with staff, practicing independence while enjoying time in the community.

Later, MaryBlair happily enjoyed cookies she baked with Nurse Gina, sharing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.

Residents from our Bayville and Lanoka Harbor homes came together to enjoy a delightful Spring Tea Party filled with laughter, conversation, and sweet treats. From beautifully decorated tables to warm cups of tea and delicious snacks, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season and spend time together.

Bringing residents from different homes together helps build friendships, strengthen connections, and create joyful memories that brighten everyday life at AMIB.

Wood, Development Associate for AMIB, recently had the opportunity to tour the Jersey Shore BlueClaws stadium and proudly accept a grant check from Jim McNamara, Vice President of Community Relations and Sales and Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities. This generous grant from BlueClaws Charities supports AMIB’s mission to promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired in our community. Recently, AMIB employees participated in crisis management training led by our trainer, Robert Tarver.

This training emphasized the importance of moving from simply managing crises to leading through them, ensuring our organization can continue to thrive during disruption and uncertainty.
