Today, I will talk about exercise. Why do I start with this? Because I think this is one of the most important tenet of health maintenance.

Is it easy to exercise? To some, survival would be impossible without it. These gym rats are far and few between... and I envy them. Even I find it difficult to "find" time to exercise. But when I dig deeper, I feel, it is part inertia, part knowledge deficit, part laziness and part our medical co-morbidities that hold us back.

Guess what, it is precisely these reasons, that we need to pick and start moving. What is exercise? I believe taking just that extra step is exercise. Parking the car a little further is exercise; skipping the elevator for stairs is exercise. We will elaborate on this issue as we go along over the next few days.
