Our Chesaning patient of the month for April is Rose!

Rose was nominated by her Speech-Language Pathologist, Erica, because she always gives her best effort and brings a smile to every session!

Since attending therapy, Rose is able to better speak in, and complete sentences. She is better able to produce phonemes / t, d, k, g / in words. She is also skyrocketing in confidence!

We are very happy Rose's family chose Paramount Children's Therapy Center for her Speech and Occupational Therapy treatment.

Good job Rose; keep up the great work!

* We contract with most private insurance policies for occupational therapy.

* We contract with McLaren Medicaid for occupational therapy services. Unfortunately, we do not contract with any other Medicaid provider for OT at this time.

On Friday April 10th, the staff from Paramount Children's Therapy Centers in Bay City, Bridgeport, and Chesaning gathered for their bi-annual Professional Development sessions. Our Spring Professional Development was a day filled with learning, growth, camaraderie, and fun.

The three staffs came together for learning and training to better serve our pediatric patients. Topics included: Assent Based Treatment, Code of Ethics, Compassionate ABA, Attending to Maladaptive Behaviors , Adult and Pediatric CPR / First Aid, and several others.

We also had time for team building and team bonding!

Thank you to everyone for your focus and dedication to learning. These Professional Development sessions allow our staff to grow, learn, and collaborate.

Everyone did an amazing job and are excited to implement new strategies with our patients.

Today our teams from Paramount Children's Therapy Centers and Paramount Rehabilitation Services showed up in blue and autism-themed gear in honor of World Autism Awareness Day.

Every day, we are inspired by the unique strengths, personalities, and progress of the children we work with.

Awareness is important; but acceptance, understanding, and inclusion are what truly make a difference. We are honored to be part of each child’s journey.

World Autism Awareness Day is observed every year on April 2nd because it was officially designated by the United Nations in 2007.

The goal was to:
* Increase understanding and awareness of autism worldwide,
* Promote acceptance and inclusion,
* Encourage support for individuals with autism and their families.

The first official observance was held in 2008, and it’s been recognized globally ever since.

This April, we’re celebrating our incredible Occupational Therapists who help our kids build the skills they need for everyday life; one small win at a time.

From mastering fine motor skills and sensory regulation to gaining independence in daily routines, our OTs make a lasting difference in ways that truly matter. Whether it’s holding a pencil, tying shoes, or learning to navigate big emotions, they’re there every step of the way with creativity, patience, and heart.

Today our teams from Paramount Rehabilitation Services and Paramount Children's Therapy Centers are wearing blue and yellow to recognize Down Syndrome Awareness Day, observed on March 21st each year.

Why is 3/21 world Down Syndrome Awareness Day? It represents Trisomy 21, the extra third copy of the 21st chromosome that makes individuals with Down Syndrome wonderfully unique.

We’re proud to celebrate the amazing kids and families we serve every day by promoting inclusion, acceptance, and support for all.

Today is a reminder to celebrate differences, promote inclusion, and continue creating a world where every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.
