Dr. Horner visits our newest international partner in China, the Austasia group. With over 30,000 head, Austasia is China's largest Wagyu producer. The company also owns 120,000 Holstein cows. All the cattle are housed in 13 state-of-the-art facilities similar to the one shown here. All their Wagyu cattle are now enrolled in Protocol Natural's internationally acclaimed Wagyu feeding program. Austasia also owns their own hot pot restaurants, a feed and premix plant, and two IVF laboratories.

Protocol Farms had the pleasure of hosting our long-time customers from Fiesta Trade along with HEB Mexico and Mexico's Department of Agriculture officials on July 22nd. The group met with our CEO, Dr. Jimmy Horner and summer intern & Texas Tech senior meat science major, Libby Mosley. The Mexico Department of Agriculture is in the process of establishing their own beef grading system using carcass camera and near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy technologies. Salud!!!
