The Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI), Cumberland County Human Services and Capital Recovery Center are teaming up to bring free eye screenings to the community! This event will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 3pm-6pm at Capital Recovery Center!

Take advantage of this opportunity for a free eye exam and valuable vision resources, provided through Project B.E.S.T. (Better Eye-health Services and Treatment).

It’s that time of year again! The Cumberland County Mental Health & Addictions Board (MHAB) is happy to announce our 2nd Annual You Are Not Alone, Let’s Walk About It Mental Health Awareness walk and activities on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Details on the flyer.

Black Balloon Day is observed annually on March 6 to honor those lost to drug overdoses, raise awareness about substance use, and support affected families. We at Capital Recovery Center want to support you in remembering your loved ones lost to overdose. We will be virtually “releasing” black balloons on March 6th via our page for those of you that would like to participate.
