As part of your routine visit, we at image all dry eye patients with non-invasive to determine what treatments are appropriate and if we can provide any preventative dry eye care.

Both patients shown here have only mild dry eye symptoms - but patient 2 is at a much higher risk of severe dry eye due to significant meibomian gland atrophy. If we had not done this imaging, patient 2 could have progressed in dryness until it was too late, potentially leaving them with lifelong dry eyes that can be debilitating.

Thankfully, we now have a treatment plan in place for patient 2 with our specialty dry eye colleagues who use radiofrequency to help preserve and regain more efficient current gland function.

New machine alert! 🚨 MYAH has arrived at Lumos Eyecare! This machine will be used routinely as a myopia risk screening device on all pediatric patients, as well as help provide a 98% first fit success rate for orthokeratology with the lens. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes footage of how it works and how we are utilizing it to improve patient care!
