This week’s Resource Highlight comes straight from Lilianna Kenyon’s toolbox ✨

Lilianna emphasizes the importance of intentional limit setting ⌛ — both inside and outside of the therapy room — to help children feel safe, supported, and understood. One of her go-to play therapy interventions is the A.C.T. model, a simple and effective framework designed to strengthen limit-setting skills in a developmentally supportive way.

The A.C.T. approach helps caregivers:
✔️ Acknowledge the child’s feelings
✔️ Communicate the limit clearly
✔️ Target an acceptable alternative

It’s a powerful, relationship-centered strategy that promotes emotional regulation while maintaining healthy boundaries.
