Duquette, Glass Artist

Biography
I have been working with glass since 2001, and educated through Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, Diablo Glass and Metal School, Boston, MA, Worcester Center of Crafts, Worcester, MA, and have taken private lessons with glass masters Robert Mickelsen, Christopher Rice, Jackie Rice, Brent Graber a.k.a. Smiley, Tim Walsh and small group lessons with John Kobuki, Jeremy Sinkus, and Margret Neher. I work full time out of my studios in Bridgton, ME, specializing in Pyrex hand-blown glass pendants, sculptures, Pandora Style Beads, and Paper Weights. The blown glass pendants are created from clear Pyrex glass tubes and/or rods. Working in front of a large torch, I will blow the tube and apply my design using different colored glass rods and different techniques. By imploding the design, the design becomes three dimensional inside the glass. It takes approximately 40 minutes to complete one pendant. I will sign your love one’s name or pet’s name on the back of the keepsake in 22k gold, as to be Forever in Glass.
