About Jaya Yoga
Kim Bradle, owner of Jaya Yoga, is a certified Yoga & Meditation Teacher and Reiki practitioner with 18 years of experience teaching in various settings throughout New Jersey. Since it’s inception, Jaya Yoga studio has flourished, with classes, workshops and a growing community of beautiful souls.
Kim’s intention as a Yoga teacher is to create a safe, supportive, sacred space to honor the body, mind & spirit. The practices and philosophy of Yoga have been the foundation and inspiration on her journey of healing, growth, opening and connection to all that life offers. Yoga is a lifestyle; we are presented with opportunities to practice Yoga in every moment. We are able to choose mindfulness, embodied awareness, compassion and connection, over and over again in every interaction we have with ourselves and with others. Kim hopes to inspire others to incorporate Yoga practices into daily living so they may experience well-being, resilience and a deeper connection to self and others.
Jaya Yoga was created when Kim was at a crossroad in her professional life and took the opportunity to combine her skills, knowledge and passions. Kim has 25 years of experience in social work; having worked with at-risk children, adolescents and their families; abused and neglected children; adolescents and adults in recovery from addiction and adults with chronic mental illness. In addition to providing direct service in the field, Kim has been teaching Yoga in mental health settings for the past 10 years. Kim is able to offer Yoga classes and workshops with a focus on the tools the teachings provide as an adjunct to therapy and to promote well-being. Yoga practices can help with integration of insights, emotion regulation and embodied awareness.
Kim believes that there is great benefit in creating individualized Yoga practices; we all have different body structures, nervous systems, personalities, histories and lifestyles. Yoga practices are adaptable and able to support anyone in their growing and healing process. A Yoga practice can consist of physical postures, breathing, deep relaxation, meditation and philosophy. Kim is able to assist others in structuring a practice that suits them and that can be attended to on a daily basis. Yoga teachings state that a skill can be mastered when it is practiced with consistency, over a long period of time and with enthusiasm ~ this is when we achieve the state of Yoga as well, connection with our Self and the world around us.
