Are you new to Yoga? Dive into the world of yoga without feeling intimidated or overwhelmed. Join our Begin at the Beginning 4-Week Yoga Foundations Course with Emily Walter.

✨ Personalized Approach: Modifications and adjustments are part of the journey. Emily will guide you to adapt poses to suit your unique needs and abilities, fostering a practice that's truly yours.
✨ Breath and Relaxation Techniques: Learn the art of yogic breathing and relaxation. These invaluable techniques contribute to your overall well-being, providing tools for stress relief and a balanced lifestyle.
✨ Dive into Yoga Philosophy: Understand the essence of yoga beyond the physical postures. Emily will introduce you to the foundational principles, making the philosophy accessible and relevant.

ABOUT THE COURSE: This is a true beginner's progressive course with each week building on the prior week's foundation and knowledge.

April 10 at 5:30 pm is Class 1: The Fundamentals of Breath, Movement and Standing Postures
April 17 at 5:30 pm is Class 2: Strength And Integrity in Your Core
April 24 at 5:30 pm is Class 3: Mobilizing Your Spine with Twists
May 1 at 5:30 pm is Class 4: Putting it All Together!

Welcome Melissa Perez to the BYC fam! 💙 She has made her career out of helping others finding joy in movement. Having 23 years as a certified Pilates instructor and 7 years as an RYT 200, she is so excited to join the mat Pilates team at BYC!

Feeling like you're not in control? Having a minor panic attack? Take a minute to ground yourself in child's pose. On the floor, put your knees wide to make room for your body. Then, sit back on your heels and reach forward, letting your forehead rest on the floor. This can also be done in your bed or using a pillow to support your chest and face. Take 5 deep breaths or stay a little longer.

As the sun shows up for longer periods of time and we have the hope of warmer weather ahead, it's almost natural for our nervous system to begin to re-regulate after a very cold winter. Feeling a little stressed? Move your body! Try the seated side bend. You can do this sitting on the floor or in a chair all the same. Sitting tall, take a breath in as you reach both hands over your head, then as you exhale reach to one side, keeping your chest open showing the ribcage some love.
