Acne-Safe Laundry Tips You Didn’t Know You Needed 🧺✨

If you’re struggling with breakouts—especially on the cheeks, jawline, or back—your laundry routine might be part of the problem. Here’s how to keep your fabrics acne-friendly:

💧 Choose the right detergent
Use a fragrance-free detergent without SLS.
What’s SLS? Sodium Lauryl Sulfate—a harsh foaming agent that can irritate sensitive skin, disrupt the skin barrier, and trigger inflammation. Even residue left on your clothes or pillowcases can worsen acne.

🌿 Switch to wool dryer balls
Fabric softeners and dryer sheets leave a waxy coating that can clog pores. Wool dryer balls help soften fabrics naturally with zero pore-clogging residue.

😴 Your pillowcase matters
Oil, bacteria, product residue—your pillowcase collects all of it. Try this routine:
