Due to the ongoing government shutdown, many families are struggling to put food on the table. As the largest distributor for the Greater Boston Food Bank, the YMCA of Greater Boston provides over 3.2 million meals each year through grocery distributions, our Mobile Market, nutrition education, and youth meal programs.

The YMCA of Greater Boston is expanding our efforts with a new Food Access Hub in Roxbury, increasing fresh food recovery and availability with the help of community partners. Every meal shared brings hope—and every dollar makes a difference.

The official youth basketball program of the Boston Celtics, Jr. Celtics provides overwhelmingly positive youth basketball experiences by treating each child like a MVP, rewarding players for self-improvement and teamwork, building a future generation of champions and lifelong basketball fans. Jr. Celtics is for boys and girls ages 3-15 and runs November 10 – February 14.

🏃‍♂️🍂 Another successful Oaktoberfest 5K in the books — with 398 runners coming together to celebrate community, wellness, and fun! The true highlight wasn’t just the miles we ran—it was the connections we built along the way. Together, we raised funds to help break down financial barriers and ensure everyone can experience all the YMCA has to offer.
