What is the best breastfeeding positions? This depends a lot on different factors (body type, size of infant, pain level after c-section). The most common would be cross-cradle, football, cradle, side-lying. Check out this awesome infographic from Milkology.org.

I asked if your little one wakes and/or feeds at night and their age bracket.
This was an informal poll and is most definitely not scientific in any way! But did have nearly 10 thousand responses so will hopefully reassure you that you're not alone.

When a baby is really young, their parents tend to have a bunch of fears about their little one’s well-being and health. They try to guess exactly what their baby wants and what it is that might be causing them discomfort. But how do you understand babies without using words? Experts outline 3 mai...

The majesty of the perfectly created umbilical cord! It is a true connection between momma and baby, supplying everything they need to grow and flourish. Even after your baby is born the cord continues with it’s life giving provision by pulsing and pumping oxygen rich blood to your fresh babe.
Did you know...
Although we’ve seen all kinds of cords, (Thin, fat, long, short, curly, with knots) when baby is full term their cord is about half a meter long. As you can see in the image there are masterpieces inside. There are two arteries and one vein. The arteries carry blood from the baby to the placenta to be filtered, while the vein delivers blood from the placenta to the fetus.
It is a perfect nutrient/waste machine with it’s best bud, the placenta. As if that weren’t amazing enough, cord blood is rich in stem cells similar to those in bone marrow. So let’s hear it for the cord! Standing ovation.

ONLY IN A WORLD WHERE MAMMARY GLANDS ARE SHAMED FOR FEEDING A BABY….…Will we see endless stories presenting the outrage over children who are breastfed for what society deems to be too long.

Only in an utterly dysfunctional world will we find the continual shaming of those who follow the lead of their children and those who parent with immediate, child-led response and parental instincts.
Only in a society like this, does the shaming of breastfeeding mothers continue whilst the issues caused by formula feeding are kept hushed.
Let me ask you, before you say “that kid is too old to breastfeed”, have you ever heard of a child suffering mentally or physically as a result of natural term breastfeeding?
Have you ever heard of a child breastfeeding at the age of four and becoming seriously ill as a direct result of breastfeeding?
Supply issues happen, yes, but really how many of these cases are due to a misunderstanding of female physiology and lack of medical support?
Dairy intolerance is somewhat common but this is an issue caused by cow’s milk, not breast milk. A mammal unable to thrive on its own mother’s milk would be a major evolutionary flaw. If this was as common as it’s portrayed, humanity simply wouldn’t have survived.
I once helped a lady who said she hadn’t breastfed either of her five children. I cautiously queried why? She told me she didn’t have any milk with either of her babies!
She never tried to breastfeed past the first two hours after delivery and a bottle of formula was swiftly introduced with each baby.
I found myself trying to gently explain that for some mothers milk takes longer to come in, with the norm being during days three to five. She simply had no idea how her body functioned and no professional considered it valuable information to share with her when fetching a bottle of formula which was considered easier.
But… at what cost? Keep reading here https://bit.ly/2QuoOBX

**Note - After 12 breastmilk is still full of immunity boosting goodness, nutrition, and is still an important comfort and calming time for a child. Research on breastmilk composition after 12 months is ongoing.

**New coronavirus and breastfeeding research**
Milk from breastfeeding mothers, who have recovered from COVID-19, *may contain antibodies to the novel coronavirus.* In a preliminary report, 15 human milk samples obtained from donors previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and 10 negative control samples were tested for a variety of antibody activity. The data indicate that there is strong SARS-CoV-2 immune response in the majority of human milk samples collected after infection. Study leader, Rebecca Powell of The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, was quoted by Reuters, “Nursing mothers who are infected with the novel coronavirus should continue to breastfeed throughout their COVID-19 illness and beyond, because (other researchers) have shown transmission does not occur via milk, and we have determined that antibodies are almost certainly there, and may protect their babies from infection.” Her team’s report, posted on 5/8/20 on the preprint server medRxiv, has not yet been peer-reviewed or published in a medical journal.
