Inner child healing is a therapeutic and spiritual practice focused on reconnecting with, nurturing, and healing the "inner child"—the part of yourself that holds the feelings, experiences, and memories from your childhood. This inner child often carries both joyful qualities (playfulness, creativity, innocence) and wounds from unmet needs, trauma, or difficult experiences.

When those wounds are unacknowledged, they can show up in adult life as:
