Move Today—Sleep Better Tonight!

We know that when adults with disabilities have access to joyful, accessible movement, something amazing happens—not only do their days brighten, but their nights become more peaceful too.

Movement isn’t just about strength or energy...it’s also one of the most natural ways to support better sleep.

And the research ain't snoozing:

- The National Sleep Foundation reports that regular physical activity helps people fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and enjoy deeper, more restorative sleep.

- The CDC notes that even 30 minutes of moderate movement during the day can significantly improve sleep quality.

- Studies published by the Sleep Research Society show that exercise helps regulate circadian rhythms—the body’s internal “sleep clock”—leading to more consistent, restful sleep patterns.

For the adults in our community, sleep is essential for health, mood, and independence. When movement becomes part of their routine, they experience calmer evenings, easier mornings, and more energy to participate in the activities they love.

Every day is a day to have a good day, and this is made possible by YOU and your generosity.

This , your support helps us provide adaptive movement classes, calming exercise opportunities, and wellness programs that promote better days and better nights for the people we serve.

Help us create peaceful nights, brighter mornings, and healthier lives. Your donation today truly makes a difference—one so noticeable its literally like night and day!

Move with Confidence—Shine with Pride.

LIFE sees something beautiful happen every time an adult with disabilities engages in movement: their confidence grows. Their smiles widen. Their belief in themselves shines a little brighter.

Movement isn’t just about physical health—it’s about feeling good inside.

And the science Is confident too:

- Research published by the American Psychological Association shows that regular physical activity is linked to improved self-esteem and self-worth, especially when individuals notice small improvements in strength, mobility, or independence.

- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) notes that movement releases endorphins and boosts brain chemicals like dopamine and serotonin—both of which support positive self-image and emotional resilience.

- Studies consistently find that physical activity enhances feelings of accomplishment, mastery, and pride—all key ingredients for strong self-esteem.

For the adults in our community, movement represents empowerment.

It’s the moment someone says, “I did it!”
It’s discovering new abilities.
It’s feeling strong, capable, and celebrated.

And you can make these moments possible and abundant.

This , your generosity fuels accessible fitness programs, adaptive movement opportunities, and supportive environments where adults with disabilities can grow their confidence and shine through the power of movement.

Help us lift hearts, strengthen spirits, and build self-esteem—one joyful movement at a time. Your donation today truly makes a difference, not just in how someone looks, but in how they see themselves. Join in the global movement of and support LIFE and our participants today.

Movement every day, helps keep the scale at bay!

Movement is more than a fitness goal—it’s a way for our participants to feel strong, confident, and proud of their bodies. Movement can be a great tool to assist with weight management. Every step, stretch, dance, or rep is a celebration of what movement can bring: more energy, more freedom, more pride, and healthy weights.

And when it comes to weight management, the science has weighed in:

- The CDC notes that physical activity is one of the most effective tools for maintaining a healthy weight, helping the body burn calories and regulate metabolism.

- Research shows that regular movement—especially a mix of aerobic activity and strength-building exercises—supports long-term weight stability better than dieting alone, which is one of the many reasons our participants like working out at the Bayside Family YMCA in Barrington.

- The National Institutes of Health highlights that even light-to-moderate activity can improve metabolic health, reduce body fat, and increase lean muscle mass.

For the adults in our programs, movement isn’t about counting calories—it’s about celebrating capability, improving health, and building habits that support their individual independence, desires, and joys. And healthy weight management can unlock even more opportunities for them and increase their quality of life.

And that’s where YOU come in. 🙌🏻

This , your generosity helps us offer more frequent adaptive fitness classes, supportive coaching, memberships to the YMCA, and inclusive wellness programs that make movement fun, accessible, and empowering for every participant.

Help us keep our community moving toward healthier, happier futures. Your donation makes every strong step more possible.

Strong Moves. Strong Bodies. Stronger Futures. 💪🏻

WE LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT! And movement is worth celebrating! Movement of any kind has value, but strength and resistance movements are powerful building blocks for lifelong strength and independence for the adults with disabilities we support.

And there ain't no bones about it—the science is strong:

- According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), regular strength-building activities (like adaptive fitness classes at Fit4Fun in Portsmouth) help maintain and increase muscle mass, which supports balance, mobility, and everyday independence.

- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that weight-bearing movement—like standing exercises, adaptive resistance work, or even walking—helps strengthen bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

- Research consistently shows that movement supports better joint health, decreases risk of falls, and improves overall physical function—key factors in long-term wellness.

For our individuals, movement is about confidence. It’s about discovering strength they didn’t know they had. It’s about celebrating bodies for what they can do—one strength-filled rep at a time.

But these opportunities are limited without generous donors like YOU.

This , your support provides adaptive fitness equipment, accessible movement classes, and the encouragement our community needs to stay strong—inside and out. Join in the world-wide day of giving and support LIFE by donating on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Help us build stronger muscles, stronger bones, and stronger lives. 💪🏻

Move a little, stress less!

Every day our DSPs and Support Coordinators see how even small moments of movement can bring big moments of peace to the adults with disabilities we support. A gentle stretch, practicing SHRI yoga in Pawtucket, a dance to a favorite song—each one helps melt away the stress of the day and brings more calm, joy, and confidence.

Facts you can relax about:

- The American Psychological Association notes that physical activity helps reduce stress by lowering the body’s stress hormones, like cortisol and adrenaline, while boosting feel-good endorphins.

- Research from the Mayo Clinic shows that even 10 minutes of movement can lift mood and reduce tension and stress.

- Studies consistently show that regular physical activity supports better sleep, clearer thinking, and improved emotional resilience—key parts of managing stress.

For our community members, movement is a pathway to emotional well-being. It’s a chance to breathe, reset, and feel supported from the inside out. And these peaceful, joy-filled moments happen more frequently because of you and your financial support.

This , your generosity will help us continue offering adaptive fitness, calming movement sessions, and supportive spaces where adults with disabilities can experience stress relief and emotional wellness.

Help us create more calm, joy, and movement-filled moments. Your donation on Tuesday, December 2nd will lift spirits—and changes lives.

Movement today, disease prevention tomorrow!

LIFE believes every step, stretch, and joyful moment of movement is an investment in a brighter and healthier future for the adults with disabilities we serve. And part of that healthier future focuses on disease prevention whenever and wherever possible.

And the science is with us hand-in-hand (freshly washed germ-free hands, of course!):

- According to the CDC, regular physical activity can significantly reduce the risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers.

- Even 150 minutes a week—that’s just a little each day—has been shown to improve cardiovascular health, strengthen the immune system, and support healthy aging.

- The World Health Organization notes that physical inactivity is one of the leading risk factors for major diseases—yet it’s one of the most preventable.

Movement 👏🏻 truly 👏🏻 matters 👏🏻.

For our participants, movement is not about perfection—it’s about discovering strength, supporting independence, and building lifelong habits that protect and directly impact physical and mental health. It’s about celebrating every small victory that leads to long-term wellness.

This , your monetary support helps us provide adaptive fitness programs, safe activity spaces, and joyful movement experiences that are vital for long-term disease prevention.

Help us keep our community moving—and thriving. Your donation on Tuesday, December 2nd creates healthier futures.

Move with purpose, thrive with heart. ❤️

LIFE believes movement is more than just motion—it’s a celebration (and preservation) of heart, strength, and vitality. For the adults with disabilities we serve, every stretch, step, and beat counts.

Here’s the proof:

- The American Heart Association says that just 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week can reduce the risk of heart disease by up to 30%.

- Studies show that even light-intensity aerobic exercise (like walking, jumping at Launch Trampoline Park in Warwick, or adaptive cardio) improves heart function and circulation—helping maintain a healthy blood pressure and cholesterol level.

- Regular movement leads to better endurance, a stronger heart muscle, and a lower resting heart rate—which all means a healthier and happier heart.

For our participants, movement isn’t designed for elite athletes—it’s designed for belonging, strength, joy, and wellness. With each beat of the heart, we are reminding them: you matter. Your health matters. Your movement matters. ❤️

This , we’re inviting you to be the heartbeat behind our Movement Movement program. Your generosity helps us provide accessible cardio-friendly programs, inclusive fitness supports, and joy-filled activity options that keep hearts strong and communities vibrant.

We hope our campaign moves you to support our mission and vision helping our clients as best we can, day in and day out. Donate through our website on Tuesday, December 2nd to keep more hearts beating strong.

Movement makes mood magic happen!

At LIFE, we see every day how a simple moment of movement—whether it’s a walk, a stretch, a dance, or even a joyful wiggle—can brighten someone’s entire world.

And the science agrees! Research shows that even 10 minutes of physical activity can boost mood by increasing endorphins and reducing stress hormones. Studies from organizations like the American Psychological Association also note that regular movement can lower feelings of anxiety and improve overall emotional well-being.

For the adults with disabilities we support, movement isn’t just exercise. It’s confidence, it’s connection, it’s joy. And it's truly meaningful.

We’ve watched moods lift, smiles spread, and spirits soar when our participants move their bodies in ways that feel good to them. These moments of happiness are powerful—and they’re made possible because of supporters like you.

This , you can help create even more moments of improved mood by supporting our Movement Movement program with a monetary donation. Your generosity fuels movement opportunities that keep our community active, engaged, and smiling.

Move hearts. Lift spirits. Change lives. Donate to our Movement Movement campaign on Tuesday, December 2nd and be part of something truly meaningful.
