A Look Back: Donors in 2025

Some of the most powerful moments of 2025 began with a simple act of generosity.

A grant awarded.
A GivingTuesday donation.
A check mailed by a family member.
A Facebook Fundraiser organized by someone who believes in our mission.

And from those acts of support? Opportunities grew.

In 2025, LIFE was honored to receive funding from the John E. Fogarty Foundation, the Moran-Ventre Charitable Foundation, CarGurus, and BankNewport that helped to strengthen and extend programming as well as enhanced resources for the participants we serve. Our GivingTuesday campaign brought our community together in an inspiring show of belief and momentum that helped us not only reach, but surpass our 24-hour fundraising goal. Families and individual supporters stepped forward again and again, proving that our mission resonates far beyond our walls, and into hearts.

Your generosity didn’t just fund services.
It funded experiences.
It funded independence.
It funded community connection.
It funded joy, strength, and health.
And it funded life, in more ways than one.

Every donation—large or small—told our participants: you matter. Told our staff: your work is valuable and important. Told our communities: we belong here, too.

To our charitable donors, grant partners, families, and individual supporters: thank you for investing in possibility. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping 2025 become a year filled with opportunity, impact, purpose, and LIFE.

A Look Back: Staff in 2025

Behind every successful program, every community outing, every client goal achieved is a staff member who helped make it happen.

In 2025, our staff didn’t just “do their jobs.” They showed up with compassion. They showed up with patience. They showed up with energy and enthusiasm. They showed up ready to problem solve, encourage, adapt, and advocate.

They turned ordinary days into meaningful experiences. They ensured safety without compromising dignity. They followed policies and procedures while leading with big hearts and strong minds.

Whether supporting employment goals, community integration, daily routines, or new challenges, our staff carried our participant-focused mission forward in ways that can’t always be measured—but are always felt.

The consistency.
The teamwork.
The positivity.
The smiles.
The laughs.
The many, many fist bumps.
The quiet moments of encouragement.
That’s what made 2025 special.

To our staff: your professionalism and dedication build safety and trust. Your energy fosters connection, while your reliability upholds quality of care. Your continuous commitment makes LIFE stronger every single day.

We are grateful beyond words, but we'd like to say some all the same: thank you for the good days, the hard days, the unexpected changes, the challenges, the excitement, the honesty, the compliance, the workplace camaraderie, the participant engagement, and the many, many joys—both big and small. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again because we simply cannot express it enough.

We're excited to see all the good you'll do in 2026!

Our Day Program participants love to beat the frigid temperatures indoors and there's nowhere more grand to get out from the cold than The Breakers in Newport! This 70-room Guilded Age mansion is the largest and most luxurious "summer cottage" of the era. More information about these houses can be found on the Newport Mansions page.

⭐️We are thrilled to recognize Deb Raposo as our January Moment to Shine winner!⭐️

Deb exemplifies excellence in every sense of the word. The level of care she provides is nothing short of immaculate! She is passionate, deeply caring, and unwaveringly dedicated to the participants she supports. Deb knows her job inside and out, and that expertise shows in everything she does. Deb stands out for her exceptional knowledge of medical procedures and protocols and ensures they’re followed with precision and confidence. But what truly sets Deb apart is that, for her, this is never “just a job.” From the moment she walks in the door to the moment she leaves, she takes immense pride in her work.

The participants trust Deb completely, and it’s easy to see why. Their faces light up when they see her. She brings not only skill and consistency, but also warmth, reassurance, and genuine connection. As a trainer, Deb is incredible, generously sharing her knowledge and setting the standard for others. And let’s not forget her infectious laugh, which lifts the entire team.

Simply put, we can’t imagine our team without Deb. Thank you, Deb, for everything you do and for being such a shining example of dedication, professionalism, and heart.

Move Today—Sleep Better Tonight!

We know that when adults with disabilities have access to joyful, accessible movement, something amazing happens—not only do their days brighten, but their nights become more peaceful too.

Movement isn’t just about strength or energy...it’s also one of the most natural ways to support better sleep.

And the research ain't snoozing:

- The National Sleep Foundation reports that regular physical activity helps people fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and enjoy deeper, more restorative sleep.

- The CDC notes that even 30 minutes of moderate movement during the day can significantly improve sleep quality.

- Studies published by the Sleep Research Society show that exercise helps regulate circadian rhythms—the body’s internal “sleep clock”—leading to more consistent, restful sleep patterns.

For the adults in our community, sleep is essential for health, mood, and independence. When movement becomes part of their routine, they experience calmer evenings, easier mornings, and more energy to participate in the activities they love.

Every day is a day to have a good day, and this is made possible by YOU and your generosity.

This , your support helps us provide adaptive movement classes, calming exercise opportunities, and wellness programs that promote better days and better nights for the people we serve.

Help us create peaceful nights, brighter mornings, and healthier lives. Your donation today truly makes a difference—one so noticeable its literally like night and day!
