Dear Valued Patients,

It is with sad hearts that we share that Dr. Haley Akin will be leaving Bristol Gynecology & Obstetrics effective February 28, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. Due to family obligations that require her time and attention, Dr. Akin is unable to maintain full-time residence in Bristol at this time. While we are saddened to see her go, but we fully support her decision to prioritize her family during this season of life.

Dr. Akin has been a dedicated and compassionate provider to so many women in our community. Her commitment to excellence and patient-centered care has made a meaningful impact on our practice and on the lives of the patients she has served. We are incredibly grateful for her contributions.

✨ A Message from Dr. Ashley Blevins ✨

To all our lovely BGO Patients,

I wanted to personally share an update regarding several exciting changes currently underway at Bristol Gynecology & Obstetrics. Our practice is in the process of making important administrative and technology upgrades that are designed to improve:

• Patient communication
• Scheduling convenience
• Access and interaction between patients and providers
• Overall patient experience

These improvements are being thoughtfully implemented, and while change can sometimes come with temporary growing pains, my goal is to have most of these systems fully in place by April.

During this transition, I am serving as both your physician/surgeon, as well as the Interim Office Manager in order to ensure continuity, stability, and that every decision made keeps our patients at the center! I kindly ask for your patience and grace as we move through this period of growth and improvement.
