We don’t just grieve the person.
That’s only part of it.
We grieve the life we were living.
The ordinary moments.
We grieve all they’re missing.
The “can you believe this?” moments we always shared.
And we grieve the future we thought was waiting for us.
The plans we never got to experience.
Grief isn’t one thing.
It’s layers upon layers of love.
That’s why grief feels so complicated.
Because love doesn’t end.
And neither does what we’re left carrying.
