Today within the center STR hosted the monthly Lunch and Learn presented by Hardcore Connections Inc. Founder and CEO Jerry Randall. Lunch and Learn at STR is every 4th Friday of the month .

Also today was STR's Friday Recovery Labs game day! Everyone enjoyed playing ping pong, PlayStation 5, listening to music, enjoyed Dominos pizza and snacks!

Also STR celebrated R.C Loretta's Birthday with ice cream cake! Happy Birthday Loretta!!!

📣 Hello STR Family & Friends!

Just a quick update, STR will be closing at 5PM today, and will remain closed through December 25th. We’ll be back on Friday at our normal opening time of 9AM.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and that you all travel safe if you’re heading out and about.

As we know, holidays can be especially challenging for folks navigating recovery or dealing with substance use, and some of our community members may be feeling alone or triggered during this time. If you or someone you care about needs someone to talk to, support is available — you are not alone, and it’s okay to reach out.

Here are some free, confidential resources that are available 24/7 while STR is closed for the holiday:

📞 SAMHSA National Helpline - ***Free***, confidential support and treatment referrals for mental health and substance use challenges. Call 1-800-662-HELP (4357)

📞 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline - Call or text 988 for trained, compassionate support.

📞 National Drug Helpline - 24/7 confidential support for drug & alcohol concerns: 1-844-289-0879.

📞 Massachusetts Substance Use Helpline ***Free***, confidential support for MA residents 24/7, including holidays.

📍 Support Groups — Groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Medication Assisted Recovery Anonymous (MARA), SMART Recovery, and other peer support options that have meetings both in-person and online (search locally or online).

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, need encouragement, or just want someone to listen, please reach out. Utilize your recovery skills and supports you've gained here with us at STR and phone a friend, attend a meeting, call a hotline. Remember, it’s strength to ask for help when you need it!!!!

🎄💜 THANK YOU, STR FAMILY & COMMUNITY! 💜🎄

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday's Annual Holiday Event. We had an amazing turnout with over 80 members, stakeholders, and community partners of STR coming together to help celebrate the holiday season with us.

The food was absolutely phenomenal, and that was all made possible thanks to North End Market & Deli . We are incredibly grateful for your community partnership and generosity in supporting our members and the Brockton recovery community in whole.

A special thank you to Stakeholder & Volunteer Marcy V. for stopping by to bless the food and lead us in Christmas carols, it truly added something special to the day.

We’d also like to thank Edwina Martin House for once again coming down to STR to help serve food and distribute hygiene bags to everyone in attendance. Your continued support means so much to our center & community.

Thank you to everyone who pitched in behind the scenes to help make this event possible. From the holiday games to the laughs shared and memories made, today was truly one for the books.

Once again, thank you all for celebrating the holidays with us. Recovery is beautiful and possible and events like this are proof. We wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season! 🎁✨
