Service Provided: Drug and Alcohol Assessment

This assessment provides valuable information on what services are needed to help set you up for success in avoiding certain troubles in the future in regards to alcohol and drugs, whether that is related to a drug or alcohol charge, employment problems, relational issues, etc. Assessments give you a starting point and can tell you if there's no problem, a mild, moderate, or severe problem with drugs and/or alcohol.

These assessments are good for personal use, court, and for the department of public safety to gain reinstatement of your driver's license.

Cost: $160

There is a stigma that comes with counseling, especially mental health counseling. Dr. Dana Gionta, Ph.D. says it best...
"Most people who initiate counseling do not have a serious mental illness. They have serious life challenges or are going through difficult life-cycle transitions that may be taxing their current ability to cope. This, in turn, may be adversely affecting their well-being and ability to function as well as they would like. Examples of serious life challenges can be dealing with chronic work-related stressors; career issues; financial problems; health issues or a recent health diagnosis; family or parent/child conflict; cultural assimilation; and academic issues. Examples of difficult life-cycle related transitions can be the death of a family member or friend; the ending of a romantic relationship or close friendship; family/couple changes related to the addition of a child; getting married or divorced; caregiving for loved ones due to illness or disability; and decision-making challenges related to these life choices. These are just some of the reasons why people decide to go to counseling. So, if you are going through one or more of these challenges at the same time, you're not alone. Counseling during these times can be quite helpful in providing both the support and skills to better address these life challenges. Ultimately, it is an invaluable investment in your emotional, physical and mental health, an act of courage not weakness, and a gift to those whose lives you touch."

Service Provided: 10 & 24 Hour ADSAC Classes

ADSAC stands for alcohol drug substance abuse course. I offer a 10 hour and a 24 hour. In this class individuals learn about the laws and consequences of anything alcohol drug related. They also learn about the different effects of alcohol and drugs on driving ability, as well as the effects on the body (physical and psychological). Individuals will be able to take a personal look at their own pattern of use and the differences between responsible use, misuse, and problem use, as well as be informed of the clinical diagnosis critera for substance use disorder. Also, we discuss how substance use can effect family, friends, coworkers, school, employment, and community. Throughout this educational course we go over a personal change plan where we discuss the 5 Stages of Change. This allows an individual to set a goal and develop a plan of action in regards to substance use/abuse, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and/or possession of illicit drugs.
I provide a comfortable, non-judgmental environment where clients can reflect on their choices and identify and correct problematic behavior.
This course meets requiremements for Department of Public Safety driver's license reinstatement standards.
10 Hour ADSAC is $150 and is split up into 3 different days.
24 Hour ADSAC is $360 and is scheduled twice a week, which can be completed in 6 weeks (total of 12 classes).

Change is inevitable whether we want it or not. If we can navigate it we will always flourish through it. We can choose to adapt easily, make the best of things, stay positive, and be faithfilled. God can guide us and give us insight as things change and we can grow from these changes that come our way.
