This month, we honor Jeanette Denson and celebrate a retirement that marks the closing of an extraordinary chapter and the lasting legacy she leaves behind. 🤍
Jeanette didn’t just build Custer Care; she carved a path for compassionate assisted living, home care, and adult day services in rural Nebraska when those services were needed most. What began with a vision in 1991 grew into a place where seniors are known, valued, and cared for with dignity and where families find reassurance, support, and peace of mind.
For more than three decades, Jeanette poured her heart into ensuring people could remain close to home, surrounded by familiarity and community, rather than having to leave for care elsewhere. Her leadership shaped not only our services, but the culture of kindness, respect, and genuine connection that defines Custer Care today.
Jeanette has been a steady presence, an advocate, a mentor, and a reminder that care is about people first, always. The impact of her work lives on in every resident served, every family supported, and every team member inspired by her example.
As she steps into retirement, we wish Jeanette days filled with the things she loves most; plenty of time quilting, moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, laughter shared with dear friends, and many travels along the way. ✂️🧵✈️
While we will miss her around here deeply, we are forever grateful for the foundation she built and the lives she touched and the knowledge she has imparted on us all along the way. 💐
Thank you, for your vision, your dedication, and your heart. Custer Care is what it is today because of you.
Cheers to you Jeanette Denson, retirement looks good on you! Enjoy this next chapter it is so very well deserved. 💛
