Last week, we had a great visit from the Brookfield Fire Department in honor of Fire Safety Month!

They took time out of their busy day to talk with our day program participants about fire safety, show us their gear, and even give us a close-up look at the fire truck.

We truly appreciate them for stopping by, sharing important safety tips, and for all they do to keep our community safe. Thank you, Brookfield Fire Department!

Today we’re celebrating Jill—the lady who helps everyone have Better Days Monday through Friday (see what we did there? 😉). For the past five years, Jill has poured her heart, energy, and unwavering dedication into making our program the best it can be.

As the administrator, Jill does far more than keep things running smoothly—she leads with compassion, strength, and a deep commitment to the individuals and staff she supports. Whether she’s solving a challenge, encouraging a team member, or making sure every detail is just right, Jill shows up with purpose and heart.

Here’s to five amazing years—and many more to come! 💛🌟

Better late than never!

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Linn County Sheriff Carrie Melte, (Linn County Missouri Sheriff's Office) for taking time out of her day to spread kindness and make a lasting impact. A special shoutout to Kirk (Better Days Bus Driver) and his spouse, Renelda Billingsley, for helping make this moment possible!

This act of kindness was such a blessing—not only for Alicia, but for everyone at Better Days who got to hear about it and witness her smile from ear to ear for days afterward. Moments like these remind us how powerful compassion can be. 💙
