This Presidents’ Day, we remember a specific moment on July 30, 1965.

That was the day President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Social Security Amendments, creating Medicare and Medicaid.

With the stroke of a pen, he changed the landscape of American healthcare. He ensured that our seniors and those with disabilities wouldn't have to face illness without resources.

His action continues to impact our patients’ lives today, who are able to access care and live their best lives thanks to his leadership.
