We were joined by EMS colleagues from neighboring towns as we welcomed a clinician from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center to discuss strokes.

Happy Brookfield ambulance day!
Massachusetts Emergency Medical Services are broken down by region. Worcester county is Region 2. Ambulances in Massachusetts are identified by region and then by service alphabetically. The last number can be used when there is more than one ambulance. So, in region 2 Brookfield EMS is service number ten. And since we only have the one ambulance, we don’t usually use the fourth number.
So we are 210 Brookfield.
210. Today is February tenth. 2/10.
Happy Brookfield ambulance day.
Take care.

Thanks to Ware FD for saving me some typing. The applies to any ambulance service and any ER.

Brookfield EMS ended 2025 having been called for service 900 times. That doesn't count the times that other towns came in because we were already out on another call.
That's not a lot compared to some other units, but that's up from
810 in 2024 and 776 in 2023.
Not all of those calls resulted in a patient being transported, and not all of them had the outcome that was hoped for, but what it does mean is that in 2025, people sought our help 900 times, and we were there. Thanks for your support and take care.

Way to go Brookfield. We put the word out and you did not disappoint. Too many to mention, and many were anonymous.
Big response from toy drives at Oakholm Brewery, Dollar General, and the Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts. You should all be proud of what we’ve accomplished together. If you are in need or know someone that is, contact us. Take care.

We just did our 814th call of the year.
814 was the total calls in 2022 and was the record for the number of calls in a year.
Don't worry, I'm not going to update record breaking status after every call for the rest of the year.

We know it's not even December, but some aspects of Christmas need to be addressed earlier than others.
This year we ask that you keep those less fortunate in mind and donate what you can to Brookfield's Toys for joy program.
This program is for Brookfield and East Brookfield families.
New, unwrapped toys are welcome, but monetary donations are preferred as they give us the opportunity to purchase gifts based on specific needs and wants.
Please drop off unwrapped toys or clearly marked monetary donations at the Brookfield Fire Station, Town Hall, or Library, or the
East Brookfield Memorial Town Complex.
If you would like to adopt a family, please contact Deb Morgan at
dmorg64@charter.net.
Monetary donations can also be mailed to:
Toys for Joy
P.O. Box 575
East Brookfield, MA
01515
It is more than just a toy.
